A subtle yet flavorful rice that will complement any dish and add variety to your table. Take a staple food and switch it up with this beautiful saffron rice.
In a small bowl or cup, add crushed saffron threads to hot water and stir. Set aside to steep.
Heat a pot with a tight-fitting lid on medium-high, heat the pan and add butter.
When melted, add garlic and saute for 30 seconds to 1 minute making sure not to burn the garlic.
Add the rice and stir to coat all of the rice in the butter.
Cover with a tight-fitting lid, reduce the heat to medium, and cook for 20 minutes or until all the liquid is absorbed.
Turn off the heat and allow the rice to sit covered for at least 10 minutes but ideally 20 minutes to yield fluffy, loose rice.
Remove cover and fluff with a fork. Enjoy!
